Aura Lynd
HYB w/DIRECT-TO-DARK [single]
Upbeat pop tune with a splash of Liquid Dnb & Dream Pop from DIREC-TO-DARK & Aura Lynd. Twinkly dreamy guitar noodles scattered about as driving grooving beat & bass carry the upbeat energy throughout. With several vocal layers, melody change ups, and some poppy yearning lyrics to top it all off. Hope you enjoy this fun blending of aliases ~

Thread Islands
Aura Lynd is back around to bring a full album for a first time. More so an EP with some instrumentals ~ beachy sunny guitar beats with some airy neo -psychedelia / indie pop vocals to carry it along. Great experience creating this release, definitely more like this to come in the future.
Released: August 23rd, 2024
Distance Doesn’t Matter (ft. Spiral Sounds) [single]
This was such a fun tune to write! Francis (Spiral Sounds) in the post chorus absolutely destroys. Glad to be in this style of songwriting with this project. Pumping dance-y drums and groove, funky indie guitar layers and fun synth/lead/horn outro! Been sitting on this tune for a year and some change, finally getting around to releasing everything from the backlog this year!
Released: July 20th, 2023
Wake Me [single]
Written over pandemic originally. Completely re-done in 2022 and early 2023 with new instrumentation, noodle guitar riffs and fresh mixing & mastering. Littered with synths and pads filling out the stereo spectrum paired with solid down-to-earth synth bass and drum machines.
Released: June 15th, 2023
Kiddo [single]
Brand new tune from Aura Lynd. Bouncy bass synth carrying the song along with some toy keyboard chords. Synths and pads make up everything else. Fun glitchy lead bridge to connect the catchy indie pop choruses. Starting the new wave of releases to come from this project. More polished music, quick in and out pop tunes. Checkout the lyric video!

When You Were Young (The Killers Cover)
Always felt like the original could have gone a different way. I also wanted to keep this version minimal and stripped down. It just felt right to me I’m not sure why. I’m happy how it sounds and it came out exactly how I imagined. It was a lot of fun to record these style vocals. Not sure if I’ll continue to do covers like this in the future.

Three songs I’ve been holding onto for a while now. Originally written for Fever Aches when I was doing more vocal stuff for that project. But now after some touch ups and mastering these came out to be some pretty good bedroom bop tunes. Having a mixture of drum machine and lofi beats. Heavy layering of guitars and vocals with driving bass guitar and synth. There’s some really cool moments in these songs. Happy to finally release them.

Underwater (¡All-Time Quarterback! Cover) [single]
Recorded this a while back when I was doing a big EP for Aura Lynd. After redoing a good amount of the vocals and adding a few things I felt that it was ready to be released. Using repetitive simple drums and a few extra guitars really make the verses my own. But still keeping that lofi vibe with the tone of the acoustic guitars and using an amp effect on my voice. Then to have multiple harmonies come in with synth bass and other small nuances in the chorus gave this song that depth and build I always wanted to hear when listening to the original. Hope I did it justice, check out the video too ~

EVRY (ft. Buck the Lackey) [single]
The most polished work from Aura Lynd yet. Truly enjoying writing this new intimate style. Originally a Kiko Kaid track, I spiced up the beat with some Hip-Pop/Indie elements by mimicking a drum machine in the chorus paired by some light percussion for movement. Also includes modern translations and production like heavy side-chain kick. Some of my most proud work vocally, multiple layers of harmonies move in and out the entire song. Includes a wonderful poetic verse from Buck the Lackey. Imagery of some distant island day-dream vacation. Drives home the narrative of the entire song and meshes seamlessly to create a lively ending as well. More to come from Aura Lynd this year ~

Item [single]
This quick sugary bedroom pop single was written and recorded in about 2 hours spontaneously. Using some simple lofi drum samples and a few layers of synth with a chorus guitar. Vocal effects were achieved through several layers of harmonies and auto tune. This was fun to make and I have several more I will release this year under Aura Lynd.
Exit Plans
These two Aura Lynd songs were written and produced in 2015. Using Hip Hop & Pop inspired drums and instrumentation, including Aura Lynd’s signature style of leading “gang” vocals, the use of several vocal layers throughout.
Released: October 24th, 2018
Castle42
First full EP from this project. Castle42 is bombastic pop/electronica with elements of hip-hop and indie rock. Drippy synths, delay-guitars, and stagnant arpeggios gives Aura Lynd this signature vibe.
Released: May 16th, 2018
September - [single]
Featured in the RANDEL - MIXTAPE THREE. This song was written with heavy synths and washed out vocals. Deep bass and hip-hop drums.
