Fever Aches - Say Goodnight [single]
Atmospheric christmas lofi tune from Fever Aches. Following up last years release "Warm for the Holidays" - "Say Goodnight" has a much more laid back vibe to it. With big wall of sound pads and filters like a cold breeze just outside the warm beat and bass guitar. Too cold for the acoustic this time. Soft piano dances with gentle percussion and beat that eventually grows with some delay guitar accompaniment.

Talplex - Astral Travel
Two track IDM release from Talplex. Continuing the vibes from "Early Works..." using vocals as an instrument. Blending a mix of just oohs and ahhs with gibberish and some lyrics. Instrumental also contains a mix of analog and digital drum machines. Second track featured is the original mix of “Evaka” - Remix originally released on OIM records earlier this year. Kiko Kaid - the getaway
Winter themed lofi tune. Featuring open turning twinkle emo guitar along with soft piano and pads. Sprinkled with some light bells and other ear candy to be a relaxing listening experience. There’s two versions included in this release. On top of the normal mix there’s a longer, slower, more sleepy version titled “the long getaway.” More lovely sleepy lofi coming from Kiko Kaid ~ Checkout the visual here.

Forest Kids Collective; Blaned - SAGATRACKS MIX. 2
Started as a simple remix project of [sev] from RANDEL .the ghost. "dream" by Blaned - After that first remix we continued to build a larger release. We would grab random tunes from each others discography and completely transform them into brand new songs. After producing them a bit more after the initial remixes were done, it was clear these are new songs and could stand on their own. We both agreed on presenting them as something completely different and not remixes.

Crossing Bridges - [landscape painting]
A collection of Crossing Bridges songs from the past. Some dating as far back as 2012. Re-imagined into something passive, cohesive and nostalgic - all at the same time. I mish-mash of ideas and sound blurred into a post-mallsoft / vapor environment. I really love how these came out. How not only do they bring up so many feelings of nostalgia for myself because I've such a connection to the songs used. But to be re-created in this way to become such a nostalgic sound as a standalone piece is really something I'm proud of. I hope you find as much comfort in these songs as I do. Somewhat of a continuation in the OST series, think of it like part 2.5 - Grab your copy on cassette here!

INTERACTIVE CO. - Genesis Rising
A mix of sampled and sample free tunes. Dancing between slushwave, vgm and ambient.. all in the style of "vaporwave." Some tracks are more elevator music while others sound like sci-fi movie soundtracks. Slow paced and melancholy electronic tunes with a splash of vapour punch. Aura Lynd - Kiddo [single]
Brand new tune from Aura Lynd. Bouncy bass synth carrying the song along with some toy keyboard chords. Synths and pads make up everything else. Fun glitchy lead bridge to connect the catchy indie pop choruses. Starting the new wave of releases to come from this project. More polished music, quick in and out pop tunes. Crossing Bridges - WEIRDCORE OST
Created from old synths and some simple digital patches. Warped and modulated using some experimental methods to capture a cohesive sound throughout the album. Simple melodies and lullabies that bring you back in time. There’s just something about the dusty noise silence mixed with very simple movements in the melody. It just sounds liminal. H A C E - the summer’s over [single]
Fully fleshed out chill-hop tune from H A C E. Seems like several aliases this month are "dressing up" as something slightly off of what they normally do (referencing PSX). In this new tune find that dark groove with some fluttery keys and horns bouncing with the beat. Capturing that melancholy you find with the realization that yes the summer is over but we have a lovely change of fall and the subtle beauty of winter to look forward to.

RANDEL .the ghost. - The Otherside & The Inbetween
Some haunted ballroom music from RANDEL .the ghost.
Just trying something new, really wanted to take a stab at this style that I've fallen in love with over the past few years. Inspired by the Caretaker and The Shining. The theme of falling into madness is depressing and inspiring to me. Sampling old big band music, ballroom music and instrumental classics alike. I was able to warp and distort them into these unsettling pieces. Checkout the full review here.

Violet A. Foster; Soular Child - Weightless [single]
Collaboration of two ambient heavy hitters. Soular Child bringing the light dancing piano. Violet A. Foster delivering a smooth ambient wall of sound ambient texture. Themes of floating, dreaming and just drifting away on the cloud. A much more brighter tune than you would normally hear from Violet, but for this month it seems several aliases are wearing masks. More classic dark ambient from Violet A. Foster later this year.

NOYU.SIR - PSX [single]
Pulling back the energy of NOYU.SIR for this adult swim inspired lofi single. Boom bap / lofi-hiphop beat paired with a warped blurry drone of ambient sound. Along with some sprinkles of sax tastefully sampled across the track. With a bit of warping, pitching and delay, several vastly different samples sound smooth and cohesive.Themes of cityscapes, driving and night life. Left field release for this alias, don't expect more like this from NOYU.SIR.

Crossing Bridges - Eclipse
A continuation from Equinox. Eclipse hosts a lovely arrangement of sound using some creative synth builds. Endlessly pretty to digest. Eclipse Dances the width of the threshold between ambient and a kaleidoscopic interpretation of contemporary classic, done so with an appealing flair and extremely apparent expertly applied devotion to the craft. INTERACTIVE CO. - POTION-SHOP
Finally a full album from INTERACTIVE CO.
Mostly sample-based vaporwave and mallsoft. With some experimental lofi / boom bap tunes mixed in. All songs are pretty consistent in textures and overall vibe. Like your listening to a radio playing softly on some dreamcast-like beach. Some really enjoyable, relaxing tunes in here!

Kiko Kaid; Emre Şen - Rainspell [single]
A lovely sleepy lofi collaboration between myself as Kiko Kaid and Emre Sen. Emre provided the chords and a good deal of the keys. I gave the song a bit more structuring, added some guitar and piano leads. I think it came out really relaxing and smooth.
More like this from Kiko Kaid in the future.

The vaporwave/future funk/nu-disco collaboration of the year! Super excited to present this triple threat single from myself Vivi Vulture and Donor Lens! I'm on vocals with some little guitar noodles here and there. Vivi did some amazing work on the keys and leads. Donor Lens held down the rhythm and grooves perfectly!

INTERACTIVE CO. - SHAPE TONE [single]
I took "New Shoes" from the latest H A C E and slushed and vapored the track until it became this. The track originally had some vocal layers and some other elements that I took out for the "EKADE" release. But you can hear them bubble up through the warping and effects. SHAPE TONE starts out super distant with hints of mallsoft textures, then eventually becomes a slushy wall of sound as it drags you through the repetitions. Full EP and album on the way for this project!

H A C E - EKADE
More older instrumentals I never got around using and sat on for several years. EKADE originally had horns and vocals. And was just a more full song in general. I stripped away the features and left the track in its ‘bare bones’ and felt like that was better suited for this project/release. New Shoes originally paired with the songs in “Spying in the Desert” but again after some touching up I felt that it would fit better in this two track release. New stuff coming from this project later this year!

Suri Sunriser - Spying in the Desert
Sat on these beats for a few years when I was attempting to make instrumentals for hip-hop / rap artists. After a bit of touching up and a fresh master pass these tracks are alive again! Desert themed; hence using the eastern sounding string instrument in the opening track; as well as the choice in melody for the closing track. I believe these three tracks sit very nicely together; all are calm yet bright and gives a warm feeling.

L a z u l i _ y e l l o w; BOSEBY - PIPEWRLD
Split album between myself as L a z u l i _ y e l l o w and BOSEBY from the Marblesoft./Memorysoft. series. The split starts off with vapor-hiphop, clout rap and some genre bending between those. BOSEBY’s alt hiphop vocals either cut through the beat (Off White Sand) and get in your face or hang back and gel with the instrumental using more repetition. L a z u l i ‘s side starts with a collab vaportrap tune, to a remix of a BOSEBY track then finishing it all off with 3 slushy vaporwave tunes. Cassettes available here:

Imisu - Long Drive Home (Remastered)
One of my favorite albums I’ve written. This album starts with some dark timbre and textures and towards the end becomes this bright embrace. It’s lonely yet enthralling and empty yet warm. There’s some beautiful contrast throughout the album. Using around 95% of guitar for all instrumentation. Originally written back in 2016-2017 and released in 2017. I look forward to writing another album with similar vibes in the near future.

Just the Architects - The Flood [single]
Written in 2021, this single is highly influenced by the band Real Estate and their album “Days.” After seeing the 10 year anniversary show for that album back in Nov 2021 I was inspired to write this. The song is about how I can see us as a society being able to watch the apocalypse from our phones. That idea to me is just so dystopian yet so close I had to write this. Simple and fun song with some catchy sing-along choruses.

L a z u l i _ y e l l o w; Vivi Vulture - INSTALLATION DISK
Earlier this year Matt (Vivi Vulture) came down to Philadelphia to write some tunes IRL with me. I had this idea of an album in mind, but no concrete ideas. After just a few days of writing together we were able to come up with these 15 new songs; including the new single "Screensaver." We wanted to capture the essence of an old start up disk that brainwashes the user and transports them into the computer. Cassettes available here.

RANDEL .the ghost. - [sev] (Blaned Remix) [single]
Experimental, lofi house remix of one of the tracks from "dream" by RANDEL the ghost. Cinematic ambient opening with haunting textures and SFX. Blaned completely reimagined the original repetitive piano tune, almost like he strapped wheels and an engine on such a stationary track. More remixes and collaborations with Blaned coming in the future.

Fun summer bop from L a z u l i _ y e l l o w & Vivi Vulture! Live drums, funky flourishing riffs from juicy guitars, synths and flute; all meshed together in this groovin' collaboration. Deconstructed and put back together; then floats into a crunchy classic vaporwave outro. Precursor and teaser to “INSTALLATION DISK” - continuing the themes of 90s tech and nostalgia. DIRECT-TO-DARK - Your Very Own Cheese Pizza [single]
Taking my first step into DnB and I gotta stay it's a lot of fun. Still figuring things out and experimenting with different elements and whatnot. But I'm really happy how this came out. Tight quick paced drums with multiple breaks and dips in intensity. Lots of fun dancing synths scattered in the background; paired some real heavy bass synth driving the track. Planning on a full EP release along with some ‘in-house’ remixes.

INTERACTIVE CO. & p o l y s t a t i o n 9 3 - Pyramid Dreams [single]
This was originally an attempt to be included on a desert themed compilation. After it got passed up, the song was touched up and remastered. A blend of p o l y s t a t i o n 9 3’s stems that included the dancing synth lead. INTERACTIVE CO. included the “dream piano” sound found in Supergrafx as well as “vaporized” the whole song with their production. More from this team later this year.

Crossing Bridges - Equinox
Movement. I wanted to create flowing ambient. Tones and drones that not only stays in a specific house of sound but I wanted the music to dance and move around in slow motion. Almost like being underwater or in zero gravity. I believe this is some of the best ambient I’ve created yet. Using some gentle bell synths, piano.. plenty of pads and swells. I spent time creating original patches/synths that have movement and character in attempt to use less layers. By this process I wanted to keep the songs original in their own right yet also cohesive with each other.

Yiddle - Starwatch [single]
Space themed ambient tune from Yiddle. Originally on “Equinox” by Crossing Bridges [June 2022]. But after the mastering process I felt this song stood out from the rest in that EP. Simply because “Equinox” is more emotion driven and uses some experimental textures. While “Starwatch” gives off a more light-hearted vibe. The bell synth that dances around the drone and pads feels more whimsical to my ears so I added it to the Yiddle discography. Enjoy this sleepy space flight to your dreams.

Kiko Kaid - Pieces of Everything
Sleepy / emotional lofi tunes. I’ve always loved having emotional releases being only 2 songs. Originally 5-6 tracks, but after listening and holding onto these tunes for a while I’ve found that Departure & Stardew fit each other quite well. Using extremely light percussion from my desk and other random wooden objects, layered with some very rounded lofi drum hits. I used flute, acoustic guitar, electric piano and that dreamy electric guitar you’d find in most Kiko Kaid tunes.

_XPRESSWINDOW - Cult Classic [single]
A new era to this project. Capturing the dissociating blurriness typically found in a _XPRESSWINDOW song and pushing it to the background. I wanted to feature really fat reverberated beats in these new songs and bring the energy to a danceable level. Cult Classic is filled with some memorable synth melodies and easily some of the hottest grooves I’ve showcased via this project.

Kiko Kaid - Ink [single]
Originally started as a H A C E tune. I’ve held onto Ink for about a year now. Each time I revisited the idea it evolved more and more. Adding more guitars and effects, to adding the soft plucky synth in the background. Probably the tightest groove from Kiko Kaid yet.

RANDEL .the ghost. - dream
Solo piano performance turned into a dreamscape. I started by setting up a drum screen, music stands and cymbals around the grand piano at WRTI’s Performance studio. Played improvised for around 25 minutes alone at the studio. Took the performance and through similar editing like how I created “Dark Hearth” and “Ultisa”… “dream” was created. I’m very happy with out this album came out. It captures the exact deathdream / dreamtone sound I was aiming for.

Kiko Kaid - Thru It [single]
A dreamy lofi single from Kiko Kaid! I’ve been trying to give space to some of my more recent tunes from this project. Experimenting not using quantization and trying to give that “human” feel back to the songs and not have it be so processed sounding. As well as keeping the instrumentation simple and minimal. I used a blend of sampled hits and my own personal sampling of me hitting my desk to create the drum timbre for this track.

L a z u l i _ y e l l o w - Videopolis
Couldn’t be happier with this album. I feel like this is the sound I’ve tried to achieve from the start of creating vaporwave in 2020. The entire album is 90% sample based; but each track has its own unique processing chain to create all different shades of nostalgic vibes. Themed after the discontinued Disney nightclub. Complete with a full visual album.

_XPRESSWINDOW & Vivi Vulture - JUMPSTAR [single]
Almost like future disco? I don’t even know what that means. I just know this songs genre is very blended. Started as some electronic stems I sent to Vivi, then turned into this mixed bag of funky grooves. Featuring some amazing keyboard parts from Vivi Vulture including a solo towards the middle the of the song. Punchy drums and wide spacey synths are leaning to be the new _XPRESSWINDOW sound.

INTERACTIVE CO. & p o l y s t a t i o n 9 3 - Supergrafx
Another collaboration between myself and Juan Antonio, but this time it’s brand new aliases from both of us. INTERACTIVE CO. is my new “classic vaporwave / classic mallsoft” project and p o l y s t a t i o n is Juan Antonio’s kickstart into the genre. These songs were created in contrast of the Enchanted series. Juan would send me stems of 80s inspired FL studio beats and I would “vaporize” them as well as add a few elements of my own. Overall this was extremely fun project to work on!

Imisu & Ozymandias’ Dream - Enchanted II
A collaboration between myself as Imisu & Ozymandias’ Dream (Juan Antonio Martinez Martinez). Continues the theme from last installment of this series. I’ve sent several stems of unreleased Imisu tunes (at the time) to Juan for sampling. After he chopped them up and added drums & light percussion they were completely transformed from their original sound. The project is highly fantasy themed and completely illustrated by Juan. Digital download on bandcamp includes bonus art for individual songs as well as a bonus track “Foxes.”

Undertakes Vol. 3
Another year has passed so there’s another bunch of songs that didn’t make the cut. Mainly because stylistically these songs didn’t 100% fit the narrative I was going for in whatever project they were originally written for. Some of the songs under “Forest Kids” in this Volume was originally written for a sort of “Dark Disco” project including the opening track “It’s Not” by Aura Lynd. This years mix features 24 different songs that bounce from Indie Pop, lofihiphop, Vaporwave/Slushwave, VGM & Ambient, and of course some experimental tunes here and there.

Kiko Kaid - Saltwater / Nightstalker
Started as two originals "Saltwater" and "Nightstalker" featuring vocalists Sami Rahman and Danni Holmes. After sitting on the tunes for a while I kept adding and revamping the two songs over and over again until I was eventually somewhat happy with them. I eventually started sending out the two songs looking for remixers to get an extra song or two on the release. But after a while each remix I that would receive back would be massively different than the next. So I was compelled to create a larger remix project for these two originals. Now the entire release sounds like a extremely cohesive album with all kinds of flavors; yet keeping a very similar theme throughout. Hope you enjoy this experiment.

L a z u l i _ y e l l ow - SCP-3008 INFINITE IKEA [single]
Themed/Inspired by SCP-3008.
SCP-3008: A Perfectly Normal, Regular Old IKEA by Mortos.
A blurry blend of around a dozen guitars extremely reverbed and filtered out of focus. Some pitched lower for more bass-y tones and some pitched higher for more spacey textures to gel with the reverbs. Paired with a simple drum loop and some sfx in the beginning. Certainly gives the vibe of walking into a store of infinity. Check out the visual here.

WAVE COMPLEX - EVERGREEN [single]
Diving into the Chillwave and Synthwave sphere with this project. Taking a more relaxed approach to the style as well and losing the chaotic IDM percussion drums. The synths and keys slowly start the song like the sun rising; moving the shadows across the floor. Pads and other elements swell and bring the whole song up to this wall of sound the carry the song the whole way through. Inspired by that first time you experience good computer graphics or play Minecraft for the first time. Random I know but that’s what gave me the clear/clean vibe that I kept for the whole song. H A C E - Feldspar (ft. Spiral Sounds) [single]
A collaboration between myself and one of my best buddies. Created over lock-down (thankfully they were my roommate at the time). Francis provided the main chord progression and some other light nuances. I provided some smooth and simple guitar parts as well as the beat and some other elements. It' was such a nice evening creating this song together, almost completely forgetting the crumbling world outside. Hope you enjoy and get lost for a minute too.

Ambient Fingers Vol. 5
A melancholy blend of western inspired folk guitar and distorted drone and drone metal themes sprinkled throughout. Like the constant reminder of the sand and sun. That distorted grit that plays throughout the entire album is a lovely consistency that really gives this release a signature sound. The blending of these two aliases is a perfect match which is why this was one of the more satisfying; out-of-the-box ideas from the Ambient Fingers series. The slow sunset of peaceful folk guitar that devolves into pure drone and distortion. Hope you enjoy the fifth installment!
